Arlette Paine - A 7thSea based D&D RPG character, she is a swashbuckler and pirate armed with a double-barreled flintlock pistol and a rapier. She is twin sister to Ranalph and Captain of the armed corvette called 'the Rapier'.

Once I started with the computer color I could not seem to stop... ;) I like the effect. Cleaned up the subject and created a new background.

Up Date Nov 2004

I detailed the gunwale and cleaned up a couple of artifacts around the gun.

I like this lady, but this one is the best of all your Arlette pictures, I think! She's a real pirate beauty!

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "*stops Dancing.... blushes* Hiya! Thank-you for your kind words. This was the first "fully successful" computer colloring job I'd completed so I feel a certain fondness for it. Take Care ~AM"

Wow! You've done such a wonderful job on this picture! The detail is magnificent and I love the expression of her face. I can't colour, even using a computer I don't understand textures and tones as yet. I really like this work and it shines a glorious amount of immeasurable talent! In other words, GREAT! ^^

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "*Joins the Dance* Thanks for commenting! I am glad you like it so much. I am just getting my feet wet on doing all computerized coloring... I am fairly proud of the results. Take care, ~AM"

Looking really good! Love the face on this one, and the hair is great! The background looks good, except for the boards of the gunwale behind her. Still, that's just a little thing. Well done! 2

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Brian! How are you these days? Thanks for commenting... This peice was a lot of fun to do but I was not happy with the original background so did a full background and impossed her as the subject on it. Not sure which version you saw.... Anyway, I hope things are well with you. Take care. ~Andrew"

*seeing this after the uncoloured one* Whoa. Okay, you CAN make a much cooler background after all. Very nice work. And Ms. Paine looks much nicer too. I always cringe when I am about to see a nice pencil work that has been coloured on the computer, but you did an outstanding job. I am very impressed. If this is "just getting your feet wet", then great things are sure to come...

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Heh, heh, heeeeh... Thanks for commenting on this one as well! This pic has undergone soooo much work on the PC that it almost doesn't count as springing from a drawing anymore. I am glad that I have pulled this off this well. I don't always make very good choices but this one really worked out. Peace, Andrew"

It's perhaps just me, I have some difficulties with the proportions. She's skinny and muscular, which is fine for a pirate woman, but her face is almost as large as her ribcage. Also, the top of her breasts is perhaps too high. It looks like she has very big breasts completely compressed by a too small bra.
This gal is otherwise really sexy!

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "First off - Thank-you for commenting! I am glad you find her to be a sexy girl, she is certainly played as one.

About her proportions: on my monitor her face is one thumb across and her ribcage is two thumbs across, taking into account the angle of her chest that is not too bad. She is described as having "medium-small breasts... but her cleavage is often accentuated by being compressed by her leather halter top." "

Oh! BEAUTIFUL! What a great style - realistic and comics! Simply wonderful details, love the both versions!

Great pic! Just one criticism: her stomach and most of her arms are too different in color from her face and chest. If you have that much exposed in the sun that often, you're going to have an even tan. ^_^ Again, great work!

51 Andrew P. Morris replies: "Thanks for commenting - You are quite correct though I am at a loss as to how it happened because the exact same tints (numerically speaking) were used in all those locations. Unfortunately I did not have the best monitor at the time and did not notice that. I will work on it at some point. *Loves His New ViewSonic Monitor*. ~ Drew Cat"

She is rock hard. I disagree with Mr. Boyle. The last woman pirate I dated took my valuables and left me rudderless and stitchless to the tender mercies of the high seas over a simple misunderstanding. (You can go wrong with a woman pirate.) This one is quite the looker, but after my experiences, I’d just as soon stick to dating landlubbers for the near future. So many good parts to this picture, but I special like how cut she is, her accessories and the realistic rigging.
