SciFi and Fantasy Art: Rochessa Charging

As a work in progress I have updated this picture considerably. More will be added to the costume and eventually a background.

Hon, you've got skill, but are you just drawing your own fantasies? Her breasts would come out of there in about 2 seconds flat. 12 The right arms a tad tweaked, but I like the perspective. Only real criticism, exactly what would she be able to keep in pouches that small?

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Thanks for commenting. The reason you are seeing this as a pencil is becaus it is in progress. So her costume is not finnished and things are still rough. That said she keeps lockpics, marbles, caltrops, throwing stars, small vials of magical potions, etc in the pouches. "

I keep throwing stars in pouches that small, right under my suit jacket. So if you see me wearing a suit...

Don't want to know why you feel the need to pack throwing stars while wearing a suit.... but I see the use for the small pouches now! 2 Maybe give her a corset? It'd make the front more believable! Nice work, I love that hands, they could be a touch bigger, but I really like that you actually do something with them rather than have them hanging at her sides like an ape... *eyes certain distasteful images* Sorry for the critique I tend to sound overly critical, but I like it.

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Not a problem but it is a work in progress. Take a look at other immages that have been changed in my gallery. I do listen. I am glad you like it, now that you mention it I will re-work the hands and (though you did not point it out) reduce her breasts. Rochessa is not that stacked. The outfit has a criss-cross of leather straps over the shoulders and around the neck, I have simply ruined several drawings with the attempt to depict them.... Thanks for commenting again. I am glad you spoke your mind. Take care ~AM"

She need a cloak, floating behind her. That would add an impression of speed.
I hardly see a warrioress charging with the sword in this position, usually it is pointed toward her target; or if intended to do a slashing hit, the blade should be held higher. Could she have two swords? I mean, another sword in her left hand?

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Thanks for commenting. While she is not charging an opponent, she is escaping a situation I will look at how the sword is positioned in the composition. A cloak is not a bad idea. Thanks for the ideas. Cheers, Andrew"

You may want to make her forearmas, hands and wrists a little more robust to match the rest of that magnifficent figure. Truely a lovely muscluar body. I wish I had your flair for muscular bodies.

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Michael! Thanks for commenting again. I see your point about the arms and wrists and will work up some changes soon. I am glad the shading and muscles are working so well. LOL I wish I had your flair for working with composition backgrounds detail and sequentials. Take care, ~Andrew"

This is a very nice piece of work Andrew. A nice pose and I imagine it is still a work in progress? A background would be nice to give the figure some context. Keep it up.

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Thanks for your comments, Arthur. Yes this is still a work in progress. A vanquished foe or two will be doubled over in an alley scene of some kind behind her. I am still working out the references for all of that. "

The costume and color are new to this piece as of today. Please do not yell at previous commenters about how they have it all wrong, their comments are valid and helped point me in the right direction. Thanks again to all who have commented and emailed me suggestions. ~A

Another great looking character Andrew. The muscle tone of her upper body is perfect.I also wanted to say "Thanks" for adding one of my drawings to your pirate tour.I am glad you found it tour worthy. Thanks again and be sure to let me know when you update your gallery here.

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Hello Patrick! I am glad you like how Rochessa is turning out. I will keep you posted when I am updating... May be a while before anything new makes its way to Elfwood. My scanner and software are not agreeing on things at the moment. 8 "

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Thanks for commenting. I will be working out more of the costume as time goes by and I find the time to do so. "
