SciFi and Fantasy Art: Wrong Way to Wake an Ent...

Here is a pencil sketch from 1989. The poor orc thought he would get some fire wood.... It was a scene from an AD&D adventure I ran.

Hey your a talented artist and this pictures shows it
its very creative {so much imagination} as a 62 year old
women When i look at drawings I tell the truth and This
is by far out of all of my years probally one of the top
50 drawings I've seen you should really do somthing with
your art and even though this picture is marvalous as they
always say practice makes perfect and as I always say
the chickens egg is never perfect, yet somehow always complex.

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Thank you so much. It was looking at some of my older pencil work that led me back to the newer pencils on the gallery. This picture in particular was an inspired piece. It is not often that I pull it off this well."

Wow! First off, nice details on the helmet. I have never seen a helmet like that. Second, it is so realistic that I thought that i was watching the ent chase the orc in real life and took a picture.

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Thankye! I always like experimenting with what could be. This helmet (and a few others in my gallery) never existed but I tried to make it look like it could. "

I laughed so hard I cried when I saw this! It is great! Where to begin? I love the expression on the orc's face, he knows he's SO dead if he stops! I really like the way you portrayed the ent too, he looks FURIOUS! He's obviously not a morning person...lol. Great job witht he pencils too! you're artwork is amazing!

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Heh, I didn't know this picture would be such a hit. I am glad it ammused that was my intent. Thanks for the compliments on my art work, more is coming soon. "

Wow. Great detail. I get into my drawings the same way...
1 i dont know if any one else noticed this, but i did: the ax in the tree! i was wandering what the orc could have done to make the tree so angry...that is until i noticed the little blade in the back of the trunk! this is a wonderful peice of work.

love always-LmO (Loren)

:-) Andrew P. Morris replies: "Heh heh heh... Well to be honest the axe is in his... ahhh... Upper rear thigh!!! Yeah, that's the ticket... Thanks for the comments, they are appriciated. Love Drew"

HAHAHAHAHA! The funniest thing about this picture is the little ax still stuck in the ent's butt!

14 Andrew P. Morris replies: "As the title suggests, this is not the right way to wake an ent... That orc has a rough time ahead if he slows down even a little. "
